Basically, this is just the beginning of a giant story, and it turns out this would be perfect to post on here so you can understand SKells a little more. And the little robot in this story, Allen, looks like this but with a pink eye C: .

I slowly blinked my eyes open. Where am I..? I tried to move, but I was tied down onto a cold table-like thing. I struggled a little, but it was no use.
“Woah, calm down, you’re okay.” I heard male a voice say.
“Of course, I’m meant to believe that I’m okay when I’m strapped down to a cold surface in a creepy dark room with no lights on? Yeah sure..” My voice shook. The other voice chuckled.
“I see you’re using your sarcasm already. It’s dark because I was waiting for you to wake up. Close your eyes, the light’s gonna hurt after being surrounded in darkness for hours on end.” I did as I was told and I shut my eyes tight. I heard a switch get flicked on and I could feel the light on me. I carefully opened my eyes. The light burned a little, but I waited until they adjusted. I looked around. There were tubes of neon coloured liquids, a cage with a dead rat in it, and other things. Things that you would find in a science lab, and a hospital. Okay, now I’m scared. “Don’t be scared, here, I’m gonna let you up now.” The voice was calming to my ears. I swear I heard a button being pressed, and the straps on my arms, legs and body were untightened and I was released. I sat up and rubbed my wrists. “You seem promising.” The voice sounded happy. I saw a little logo on the table I was sat on, printed in black and blue stripes.
“Kaperature Science Innovations.” I read it out. “I’m a test subject?!” I felt a little hurt. I looked around the room. The voice that I was hearing was coming from a speaker implanted on the wall. I looked up. A camera. This person’s obviously watching what I’m doing.
“Wow, you are pretty smart. Wait, you read that off of the logo printed on the table didn’t you?”
“Yup. Well, guess I can’t help what I am. Alright, what do you need me to do?” I sighed.
“Okay, let me come down then. Not many of our subjects are ready this quickly, I’ll be down in a second!” The voice yelled. I dangled my legs over the side of the table. I was confused about all of the liquids in the room, and even more curious to why there was a DEAD RAT in a cage. I decided to have more than a look around. I slid off of the table and walked over to the neon liquids in tubes. On a name plate in front of them was ‘5-K-3LL5’. Must be a typical scientific name for this generation of whatever was in there. “Ah, looks like you’re fully awake.” I jumped as I heard the voice again behind me. I turned around. Hanging from a rail on the ceiling was a weird, circular robotic thing with a glowing pink eye-like circle at the front. Awwh, what a cute little robot. “Okay, right. Before you say anything, yes I do have a pink eye, no that does not give you an excuse to make jokes.”
“Okay then..” I grinned.
“Well, guess I’d better give you a quick run-down of the place. Here at Kaperature we practically ‘build’ humans to test on. Sadly, you’re our last test subject here because we can’t afford to look after so many humans. Each human has an assigned Tutorbot, and I’m yours. My name’s Allen-Psychrodrone-1-6-9-6. But, of course you can just call me Allen. And uhh… Your name is…” He moved along the rail and over to where I was stood, and looked at the name plate in front of the tubes of liquids. “5-K-3LL5.” He read out. “Okay well I really hate these test names that they give you so lets just turn that into letters and call you SKells. How does that sound?” He turned to look down at me again.
“Uh, sure. Sounds cool.” I nodded.
“Great. Well before we can actually get onto the real tests of knowledge and IQ and all that, I just need you to do a few things first.” He practically nodded.
“Okay, what do you need?” I was eager.
“First of all, I need you to drink these solutions. Uh, solutions meaning the neon looking drinks in the tubes.” He faced the tubes to ‘point’ at them. “They are the newest solutions we have. They just help your brain not to get fried if you ever get tired of thinking too much, which, I’m probably sure you will.. Anyway, could you just drink them please?” I took each of the tubes and pulled the cork out of the top. I drank each of them in turn. They all had a different flavour. I liked it.
“Hey can I ask a question?” I asked.
“Of course.”
“Why is there a uh.. Dead rat in here?” I looked over at it.
“Oh right, well that part was to come later but uh… I’ll just get rid of it.” He nodded and moved along the rail and over to the dead rat. A hand-like thing came out of the rail and picked up the cage, carrying it out of a window that automatically opened. “The rat was there to collect reactions but seeing as how intelligent you already are, I don’t think we’ll need it.” Allen faced me again and moved along the rail to come closer. “It was fake anyway.” I chuckled when he said that. So far this pink-eyed robot is quite funny. “Okay, well, I need to scan a few things from you, so if you don’t mind, please follow me.” He turned and moved along the rail and went through an automatic door. I quickly followed him. The door opening by itself made me jump a little. In this first room was a chair, a table with some sort of mask and a TV. “Take a seat.” Allen faced the chair for a second them moved along the rail and above the TV. I sat down in the chair and looked up at him. “Basically, we use the mask to scan your emotions to different things shown on the TV. So if you’d pop that on your face, we can begin.” I picked up the face-shaped mask and put it on. I looked at the TV. For a split second, a bright light flashed onto the TV and then off again. “Done.” Allen sounded pleased.
“W-Wait, what? I didn’t feel any emotions and I didn’t see anything on that TV except for a flash.” I pulled the mask off and set it on the table feeling confused.
“The flash that you experienced was every single emotion at once reacting to what you saw on the TV. A picture for every single emotion was shown at the same time for 0.5 seconds. Of course you didn’t see it!” Allen chuckled. “Doing it that fast means that the test subject doesn’t need to go through an emotional rollercoaster and then be depressed for the rest of their time here.” Ah, that makes sense. “Now, to the next room.” I followed him through another door.
For about five more rooms the same thing was done, but not just for emotion. There was one for heart rate, eye speed, reaction time, allergy tests and pain checks. Allen took me to a room, like a hotel room, so that I could apparently get ‘used’ to being human. The truth is, I’m already used to it. I feel like I’ve been human all my life, and just woken up from a long sleep. I sat on the side of the bed and just looked around the room.
“So how many other test subjects do you have left here?” I asked.
“… Only two, I’m afraid. You and… I can’t remember his name. Want me to go find him?” Allen replied.
“Sure, go ahead.” I smiled. Allen zoomed along the rail and left the room. I stood up and headed into what I assumed was the bathroom. I got close to the door and it opened automatically, showing a toilet, sink, shower and a huge mirror going from the floor to the ceiling. I wonder what I look like. I carefully stepped in, looking around the teal room. I stood in front of the mirror, then slowly looked at my reflection. I saw myself. So that’s what I look like. Wow. Not what I’d expected…
Many questions about myself ran through my head, as if it were a marathon. But one stuck out the most.
“Do all natural humans look like this?” I whispered, placing my hand on the mirror, only for it to be met by the hand of my reflection. I have no idea about the answer to that question. It’s not important, it’s not as if I’m going to be leaving this place soon, right? But then.. What happened to the other test subjects? Did they DIE in here?! Were they set free? Did they just disappear one day? Ugh, it’s unhealthy for me to think like this. I left the bathroom just as Allen was returning.
“Right, I found out his name was J-41-NXX… Seriously the names given to these people here are really messed up. Why can’t you just have easy names like Bob or Jim. Or Debby.” I laughed at him.
“Will I ever get to meet him?”
“Probably at some point. Wait.. I didn’t see his Tutorbot with him. I wonder if she got…” He mumbled the last part, so I really didn’t hear what he said.
“Wonder if she got what?” I questioned.
“Nothing, nothing.” He shook.
“Allen. What are you hiding from me?” I folded my arms and stood face-to-face with the robot.
“Nothing, honestly!” He’s lying. I put my hands on either side of him.
“I can pull you off there, y’know. Just saying.” I shrugged, taunting him.
“No, no no no please.” He begged. I started shaking him a little. “No! Stop!” I stopped and huffed. “They told me that if I leave this rail, I would DIE.” He stated. I rolled my eyes. I started pulling at him again. “No no no no wait!” He yelled. I managed to finally pull him off of the rail and I fell backwards onto my bed, accidentally throwing him backwards and eye-down (Faceplant, basically.) onto the pillows. “I…. Am not dead! Haha! Woo!” He cheered. “Now uh, if you’d be kind enough to help me up?” I sat up, picked him up and forced him to face me.
“Well anyway, now that you’ve had a near-death experience, mind telling me what the hell you’re keeping from me?”
“Okay, okay fine. But don’t get scared or anything, because YOU asked.” He sighed. “A week before you woke up, one of our most intelligent test subjects signed up to become more intelligent. He had always seemed like a glory-hunter, he always wanted to do the best at everything. And when he did, he would gloat and congratulate himself so much. So since he signed up, we had to inject him with the latest tonic solution that we had made, but some how it turned bad inside him and he went on a rampage. It was only then that security was built up enough to protect you and J-41.. Whatever his name was. Okay?! Happy now?! The Tutorbots were destroyed trying to protect their humans. I wasn’t because I had no one to protect, seeing as how you hadn’t woken up yet. Up here is the only place that actually looks un-touched. Downstairs is just a wreck. And seeing how small I am, I can’t clean up that much, then get enough money to re-build the place.” He sounded sad.
“So everything about the facility not having enough money for new subjects was a lie?”
“I didn’t want to scare you.”
“Awwh..” I cuddled the cold little robot. “So, any chance I could meet the other test subject?”
“Sure. And, like we did with your name, lets just make it simpler by translating it into letters. So that would make his name… Jainxx.”
“Jainxx… I could get used to that name.”
